At 10:00am on Sunday July 26, head to the Hamilton Cemetery for a free tour that dives into local War of 1812 history, key battles, and sacrifices, as you visit significant sites.
During lunch on Sunday, July 26, walk over to Pier 8's Waterfront Stage for a free performance by the National Academy Orchestra of Canada for the Brott Music Festival!
At 6:30pm on Monday, July 27, walk over to Pier 8's Waterfront Stage for a Family Storytime followed by live music from Hamilton guitarist-singer-songwriter Terra Lightfoot!
Every Tuesday evening in June, July, and August come out to Pier 8 and enjoy free Salsa dancing as the sun sets! Receive a beginner Latin dance tutorial then dance the night away to a live DJ. No partner required. Beginners welcome!
Every Thursday from 6:30 to 8:30pm bring a launch chair to the Waterfront Stage at Pier 8 and enjoy free Jazz and Blues performances organized by the City of Hamilton. On July 30, come out and see the band Caroline Wiles with Bob Doidge & Michael McCurlie.
At 7:30pm on Thursday, July 30 head to the FirstOntario Concert Hall to hear the energetic and passionate classics created by the world's most famous composers. Hear Beethoven’s Symphony No. 8, Stravinsky’s Petrushka, and Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto performed by the National Academy Orchestra of Canada as part of the Brott Music Festival. Tickets start at $25.
On August 1, walk over to Pier 4 Park and celebrate Latino culture. Enjoy fiery live music from salsa bands, classic and modern salsa dance shows, and interactive workshops!
Hamilton's CFL (Canadian Football League) team, the Tiger-Cats, play regularly at the Hamilton Stadium. On Saturday August 1, come out to see the Ticats play the Calgary Stampeders and become part of the energy-filled, cheering crowd. Game starts at 3:00pm. Tickets start at $30.
