From 5:00am to 9:00pm on Wednesday, August 12, walk to the West Harbour James St Plaza for wellness, community, and arts programming. Activities include sunrise and sunset yoga overlooking Hamilton Harbour, meditation, breathwork, mobility and fitness workshops, sound baths, arts and crafts, venders, and local performances.
Every Thursday from 6:30 to 8:30pm bring a launch chair to the Waterfront Stage at Pier 8 and enjoy free Jazz and Blues performances organized by the City of Hamilton. On August 13, come out and see Guitar of Fire - Latin Guitar.
At 6:30pm on Thursday, August 13, come out to the Royal Botanical Gardens’ Hendrie Park to see four-time JUNO Award winners and Canadian rock n' roll icons The Sheepdogs perform with Toronto pop singer-songwriter Chloë Doucet. At 7:30pm on Thursday, August 13 head to the FirstOntario Concert Hall for the season finale of the Brott Music Festival featuring music by Mahler, Rodrigo, Ravel and Strauss and performed by the National Academy Orchestra of Canada! Tickets start at $25.
On the second Friday of every month, from May to October, James Street North becomes accessible only to pedestrians after 5 pm between Murray Street and York Boulevard to allow art, music, vendors, and food stalls to fill the space! Restaurants, stores, art studios, and bars all keep their doors open late into the night!
Hamilton's CFL (Canadian Football League) team, the Tiger-Cats, play regularly at the Hamilton Stadium. On Saturday August 15, come out to see the Ticats play the Saskatchewan Roughriders and become part of the energy-filled, cheering crowd. Game starts at 7:00pm. Tickets starting at $18.
