Dock Infrastructure Updates

We are excited to announce that the entrance bridge to the East Docks has been installed and will be opened for boater access as of tomorrow, Saturday, May 29! All electrical and water services will also be available this weekend as well.

The card reader on the gate will not be functional until Monday, May 31; however, we will have staff on site during the daytime, and security will be stationed at the dock entrance overnight.

The City of Hamilton is in the process of putting the finishing touches on the washroom facilities, and they will be open for use by the middle of next week. In the meantime, the washrooms on the West Dock are still available for use by all boaters.

We would ask that all boaters who are in a temporary slip on the West Dock move over to their assigned slip no later than Friday, June 4. This will help ensure that all slips on the West Docks are available for the seasonal boaters who have not yet launched.

We are also pleased to announce that this season we will be implementing a new technology around the docks to dissuade geese from hanging around, sleeping, and leaving their droppings on our facilities. The core technology is a low-powered laser beam, which is harmless to geese and humans, but it will deter geese from sticking around. We believe this will make our marina a more attractive, safer, and healthier environment for all boaters and their guests.

Finally, we would like to sincerely thank all boaters for your continued cooperation in getting this season off to a great start. We are looking forward to enjoying more warm weather this summer out on the docks!

Stay tuned for more updates and event details to come.
