At 10:00am on Sunday July 12, head to the Hamilton Cemetery for a free tour that dives into the military history evident throughout the cemetery including key battles and the gravestones of pivotal soldiers.
Visitors learn to load and fire the 4" guns on the HMCS Haida, modelling their use during the Second World War and Korean War. Meanwhile, Parks Canada staff share technical and historical context during this exclusive program. Experience offered at 5:15 or 6:15 pm. In an intimate tour group of 10 or less people, visitors are taken to areas of the HMCS Haida normally off-limits to the public! Must be 16+ Adult ticket: $39.32 Seniors ticket: $38.80 Youth ticket: $34.13
The Women of War weekend at the HMCS Haida celebrates all the ways women contributed to the Second World War efforts including within the Homefront, industry, and Women's Royal Canadian Navy Service (WRCNS). 10am to 5pm Saturday July 25 and Sunday July 26.

At 10:00am on Monday, August 3, head to the Hamilton Cemetery for a free tour telling the story of Hamilton's founder George Hamilton. Visit his gravesite and learn about his contributions to the city, business, the War of 1812, and discover what life was like at that time.

At 7:00pm on Monday, August 17, head to the historic Cockpit at Dundurn National Historic Site for an intimate reading of Elizabeth Rex - Timothy Findley's play about Queen Elizabeth I on the night before her lover's death in 1601.
